Fireside Friday: Two Cops Cop a Lift

There I was, sitting in a 1955 Oldsmobile by the roadside on the Mississippi coast, classic cars everywhere. Why did the two retired policemen from Detroit pick my car to ask a ride? Though I lived in the south, the car had a historic 1955 license tag from Michigan, where it was registered. So they thought I’d be amenable to help them on their way. But there was another reason they climbed into the old car that day.
