Let This Mind be in You

In this message from Philippians 2, George Fehr explores what it means to have “the mind of Christ” and to live with the same humility, sacrifice, and concern for others that characterized Jesus.

Using Paul, Timothy, and Epaphroditus as three examples of Christ-like living, George shows how the attitude described in Philippians 2 can be worked out in the everyday life of a believer. Paul was willing to give himself sacrificially for the service of others. Timothy demonstrated a genuine concern for the spiritual welfare of fellow believers, seeking their good rather than his own. Epaphroditus willingly served at great personal cost, even becoming seriously ill in his service for Christ.

The message challenges us to examine our own tendency toward self-centeredness and to consider whether we are truly looking “not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.” George encourages believers to embrace a life of humility, compassion, faithfulness, and self-sacrifice, following the example of Christ who humbled Himself and gave Himself completely.

The message closes with a reminder that Christ gave His life for us so that His life might be lived through us. We are encouraged to allow the mind of Christ to shape our relationships, our service, our families, and our local church.
