Although a firmly committed Darwinian, famous anthropologist Louis Leakey sounded strangely like the Genesis account when he said that “the past shows clearly that we all have a common origin and that our differences in race, color and creed are only superficial.” My encounter with him only confirmed, in spite of all his work and learning, he was evidence that if you turn your back on God’s Word as the fountainhead of truth, you’ll find lots of tributaries downhill, “always learning,” but you’ll never be “able to come to the knowledge of the truth” (2 Tim 3:7).
