Fireside Friday: Every Nation

He knew what it was to be jeered, stoned and run out of town. To be barred from entering countries (until God opened the door) and literally barred—in jail cells. Friend of famous Christians around the world and foe of tepid Christianity, prayerless preaching, and self-promotion. Doggedly, prayerfully, courageously, he proclaimed the gospel from Micronesia to Mongolia, from Antigua to Azerbajian, and from North Korea to South Africa. No pleasure cruise this, it was often in open trucks or decrepit trains, sleeping on floors and sharing rooms with rats. But Jesus had SAVED him and he never got over it.
